The ghost-town that was Suntec Singapore

The IMF/World Bank meetings in Suntec Singapore has caused Suntec to be a virtual ghost-town as Singaporeans aviod the place like the plague. A big surprise according to the newspaper. I would like to say, "Are you insane?"Come on! The IMF/World Bank meetings has turn the placer to a fortess! From City Hall onwards, you can see a group of police at every traffic junction, and police on patrol between the junctions! That is like a group of police every 20 metres. Who in the world would want to go there now?
