Amazing but true

In a show of how out of touch Americans truly are, some leading US media have decided to call the violence raging in Iraq a "civil war," despite White House insistence that the strife has not reached that stage. ARE THOSE GUYS CRAZY!!! It took them this long to call it a civil war! It looked (and was) like a civil war MONTHS ago! I mean what were they calling it if not a civil war? And the White House is actually still saying that it not! This gives a new meaning to the term 'Crazy Americans'. Stupid!

And the war begins

The Wii, Nintendo Co.'s entry into the game console wars went on sale 2 days after their rival PlayStation 3 went on sale and it was a instant sellout. Like the PlayStation, there was a few overnight campers, but most had lined up in the early morning. A store in New York hosted a midnight launch event that drew a crowd of more than a thousand people for the sale of the very first Wii.
The launch apparently went smoothly, a contrast to the PlayStation 3 release, which forced police to disperse rowdy crowds at some stores around the country. Of course, Nintendo has said it would have "five to ten" times as many Wiis available at launch as the 400,000 PlayStation available for the PS lauch. The Wii is also cheaper! Costing US$250, including one game, half of what the cheaper PlayStation 3 model costs.
However on eBay, Wiis were selling for twice the store price, indicating that supplies are still tight. The Wii takes a different tack than the competition, forgoing the high-definition graphics that Sony has spent billions to develop for the PlayStation 3.
Instead, Nintendo aims to draw gamers and non-gamers alike with intuitive game play. The Wii comes with a motion-sensitive controller that the gamer waves around in the air, using it as a tennis racket, golf club, steering wheel, gun or sword depending on the game. The new style will either swim or sink badly. Only time will tell.

Bush is coming

George Bush is coming to Singapore for a 2 day visit. It is a big deal for Singapore leaders because they are closing down roads and expressways during the visit. I mean even the O & A level exams are being delayed because of him. WHY??? Instead of all these problems, why don't we just cancel his visit. I mean, he is a lame-duck president already right and so unpopular that even Canadians and Americans hate his guts! Why look for trouble by inviting him here!

The beginning of gridlock in the U.S

The dust has finally settled in the U.S and Bush got beat bad. The Democrats completed an election sweep of both Congress and House on Wednesday and the effects were immediate. After years of defending his secretary of defense, President Bush announced Donald Rumsfeld's resignation within hours of the Democrats' triumph in the elections. Finally! The war in Iraq and the scandals in Congress finally made the American public see what everyone else in the world had been saying for years; Bush is a terrible president. Hope is that Bush will now play nice and work with the Democrats on the many, many issues America is facing. My advice on that; don't bet money on it. Bush has for the past 6 years proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is one stubborn bastard. Stubborn to the point of being stupid about it. A 'my way or the highway' kind of guy. Not only is he uncompromising, he even refused to admit mistakes were made on the decision to invade Iraq. That's how bad he is! I'm afraid gridlock seems the most likely outcome.

Neverwinter Nights 2

Yes! It's finally out. Neverwinter Nights 2 is finally out! There's a lot to live up to but so far the reviews are quite good. Compelling story, 50-plus hours play-time, full-featured toolset to create and share new modules, excellent music, interactive dialogue and entertaining character interactions. Of course steep system requirements is a big minus. Can't wait for it to arrive.
